Ohio Auctioneers Honor Stephen Andrews as Newest Member of the H

Columbus - Approximately 300 auctioneers and guests turned out for the Ohio Auctioneers Association’s Annual Convention, January 19-21, 2008 in Dublin, OH at the Embassy Suites Hotel, at which the organization bestowed its highest honor to one of its top auctioneers. The Hall of Fame committee, comprised of only 32 auctioneers since its inception, inducted Stephen Andrews of Wooster, OH on Sunday, January 19 during the annual Hall of Fame Luncheon. Joining Stephen at this event were 15 previous winners of this high honor.

Stephen Andrews of Steve Andrews, Auctioneer, LLC, has been in the industry for over 30 years conducting thousands of auctions, including benefit auctions. Stephen is a past president of the OAA and is currently a member of the OAA association as well as the NAA association. Stephen is a fourth generation auctioneer and is currently mentoring his son Seth to be the fifth generation. Stephen specializes in farm machinery, real estate, antiques, household, purebred horses, cattle & Haflingers. He is recognized as the top draft horse auctioneer in the country and holds licenses in Kentucky, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Michigan, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Illinois as well as Ohio.

Jerry Cross of Jerry Cross, Auctioneer, LLC, as well as Ken Bonnigson of Baker Bonnigson Realty & Auctioneers, Inc., nominated Stephen Andrews for this award. Jerry Cross had this to say about Stephen, “He is the ultimate example of a top notch, professional auctioneer, who continually makes a positive contribution to the auction profession and to his community”.

Stephen resides in Wooster, OH with his wife Peggy of 35 years. Stephen and Peggy have two sons, Seth and Jason.
