A QUEST FOR EXCELLENCE FOR THE OHIO AUCTIONEERS
Dublin - Approximately 200 auctioneers and guests turned out for the Ohio Auctioneers Association’s Annual Convention, January 13-15, 2007 in Dublin, OH at the Marriott Northwest Hotel. Highlights of the convention included auction and real estate educational sessions, the annual election of the OAA officer’s and directors, and the annual induction of the newest members to the Hall of Fame.
The leadership for the OAA for the coming year will include; President, Doug Walton, Upper Sandusky; President Elect, Barry Baker, Xenia; Vice President, Chris Davis, Columbus; Treasurer , Ryan Troup, Lancaster; At Large Director, Michael Hoffman, Pickerington; Southeast Directors, Pat Sheridan, Athens, and Larry Woods, Hilliard; Northeast Directors, George Kiko, Canton, and Bill Stepp, Ashland; Southwest Directors, Mark Euton, Cincinnati, Dave Lunsford, Hamilton; and Northwest Directors, Ken Bonnigson, Clyde and Bart Westfall, West Unity. The candidates were inducted into their positions at the annual business meeting on Sunday, January 14th and then honored at a luncheon later that day by the OAA outgoing President, Bart Sheridan of Cedarville, OH.
Under direction of the new president, Doug Walton, the OAA will follow the theme “A Quest for Excellence.” The Ohio Auctioneers Association will celebrate its 65th year as an organization in 2007, and the board of directors will focus their endeavors promoting the association and the auction industry. |
